Hi All
I'm looking for Mary/Mary Ann SAMMONS/SALMONS in any census after 1851
So far I have:
Bp: 26.04.1835 as Mary Ann SALMONS (Layston Hertfordshire PR’s) d/of Charles & Elizabeth
1841 census: Mary Ann SALMONS (6) + Charles & Elizabeth in Aspeden (Buntingford) Herts
1851 census: Mary SALMONS – with parents in Layston/Buntingford Herts (age 16)
1861 census: Charles & Elizabeth SAMMONS are still in Buntingford - but no Mary Ann
Possible unconfirmed sighting:
Newspaper: Herts Guardian Date: Saturday 22 April 1865
"Stephen Coxall, of Haslingfield, charged by Mary Ann Sammons, of Barrington, with being the father of her illegitimate child; adjourned till the 1st of May for production of further evidence.”
Barrington isn't that far from Buntingford so the abovementioned lady is a possibility but totally unconfirmed
Any help finding this lady would be very much appreciated
