Canewdon - Boxes Farm
« on: Saturday 11 May 13 09:32 BST (UK) »
Hi all,

I am trying to locate any information about a farm known as "Boxes Farm" in Canewdon.  My timeline is 1850's to 1880's and was held in the name of Wright.

I have obtained information via census records, but wanted to see if anyone would know anything about the actual farm, where it is located in Canewdon, or where to suggest I go to find out some more information.

Regards to all,
Suzanne

It would appear to be still operating!

Yes, I did come across that web address.  I will send them a message via their contact page and see if I can find out some history about the farm.
Thank you.

It's just a possibility, though, as it's 6 miles from Canewdon village?

But it's a bit of a coincidence?! ;D

There was still a Wright at Boxes Farm in 1911.

Yes, so hopefully when I contact them they can fill me in about some history of the farm.  Will keep you posted.  Thank you for your interest.
