Guys - thanks for all the fantastic info and so quickly :) it is greatly appreciated.

Sami - all I have for Davis is that her birth was registered in Q3 1890. Ancestry.co.uk states that she and her brother were residing with their uncle in the 1991 census. However, I've had a very close look at the actual image and the name Davis could actually be Doris (which is the middle name of my grandmother Evelyn) so I may have led you down the garden path on that - sorry.

Hi all

I also have a photo of my dad in Vancouver with Aunt Beatrice in 1943 but I have no idea who she might be unless it is Davis known by another name?

Any info at all would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Phil

Canada Voters list for Kitchener Street Vancouver East 1949 - shows :-

A S Puttick (retired), Mrs A S Puttick and also a female, spinster with the initial "B" - could be the person you referred to in the photo but she wouldn't be an Aunt but niece to your father.  ??? Occupation was stenographer.

Thanks Sandra - I think the spinster with the initial "B" is Betty who I believe was their daughter. From the photo I have of Beatrice she looks to be a similar age to Greta. Thanks for all your help.

Have you tried looking at http://www.canada411.ca/   for the son-in-law in Burnaby. British Columbia. Address was given on death cert of Greta Puttick.

There was someone of that name listed on the Canada Voters List (in the 1960's 1970's) with a wife of the name you mentioned living on Ewart Street. Burnaby, the name is still listed at an address in that Street.
