Ok, as the title I put says, this one is a very very vague (did I say very? lol) big longshot...
Jonathan Wild, (baptised 6 May 1683 – 24 May 1725) Wolverhampton England...
An infamous criminal in London ..."Jonathan Wild (baptised 6 May 1683 – 24 May 1725) was perhaps the most infamous criminal of London — and possibly Great Britain — during the 18th century"
Jonathan also turned in those criminals who wouldnt do as he wished, or that he had no more use for... and became known as the "Thie-Taker General of Great Britain and Ireland"
I am researching the family of this man and drawing up so many blanks... however, he did have a son, and before jonathan wild was executed, his son did also com to see him in london, the problem... apart from him being jonathan wilds son, I have no other details of his name etc etc, the only other link i have on him is from books...
"Wild had by the woman he married at Wolverhampton a son about nineteen years old, who came to London a short time before the execution of his father. He was a youth of so violent and ungovernable a disposition, that it was judged prudent to confine him while his father was conveyed to Tyburn, lest he should create a tumult, and prove the cause of mischief among the populace. Soon after the death of his father he accepted a sum of money to become a servant in one of our plantations."
So... with such a notorious father, perhaps there might be some way i could trace this son? some mention of him on the american plantations? or or oror....
Like I said, this one is a very very big longshot...
so...... anything/? anyone?
