Warsop burial lookup please (1799-1804)
« on: Tuesday 14 May 13 17:31 BST (UK) »
Warsop burials for the period I need aren't covered in the NFHS CDs, so I was wondering if someone with access to the PRs might be able to do a quick lookup for me.

I'm searching for a burial of John Brummitt of Warsop who died between c1799 (when his youngest child was baptised) and 1804 (when his widow remarried).

Thanks,
Alexander

Hi Alexander,

I don't know if you have come across the book - "Warsop Parish Registers with notes and illustrations";  it is not the actual registers, just a description of the registers with some extractions and notes.

It could be useful if you haven't seen it, as there is mention of Brummitt and Thomas Moody on pages 79 & 80 = http://archive.org/stream/worsopparishregi00king#page/n9/mode/2up

Thanks for finding those burials Trish as I didn't know there were any Warsop burials listed on Freereg as it seems it only lists the Warsop baptisms under the county coverage for 1786-1812.

Hi Trish and Sheila,

I never thought to check FreeREG - it's great to see there is coverage of Warsop burials. That will be very useful for me on other lines too.

Many thanks

Alexander
