I have a Charles Wells b. 1829, Servant to Mr James Caroll who ran the school in 1841 in Hanbury, married Ann Hurdman in 1849, in the Parish church by Rector W Vernon. Can any one build up his ancestors tree, at all, from the Hanbury parish registers?? Apparently he lived in Styleses, Hanbury, with parents William Wells and Hannah (Maiden name not known) perhaps Styleses is a cottage or farm name??

Hi looking at the 1841 census then Styleses appears to be inhabited with small families, whose Heads of family, have occupations ranging from Ag Lab/Mason/Carpenter, maybe someone with more local knowledge can advise you of just how the Styleses name came about, and what it was?

should be asking for a 'look up' of the Fladbury parish registers
in order to find the ancestors of William Wells, father of Charles Wells.

Hi,
    I have the following from the Hanbury Register.
Charles Wells a 20 yr. old Labourer s. of William Wells labourer and Ann Hurdman servant d. of John Hurdman labourer both of Hanbury married by Banns 14th May 1849 by W Vernon witnessed by Thomas Cook and Dianah Bridge.

Wells Thomas b. Oct 1849 s. of Charles and Ann Wells of Hanbury bap 14 Oct 1849 by W. Vernon

This is all I found in the Hanbury Register.
