If anyone can help it would be most appreciated.
I would really like to find any thing of my g grandfather. My grandfather Stephen Mckay 1895 was born in the workhouse to Margaret Hanly his father is stated to be Robert Mckay shepherd.

is this your family in 1901? Did Margaret marry John Collins?

There is a likely marriage here: John Collins and Margaret Hanley share the same reference:

Thank you so very much Heywood, I have now found him in 1911 under McCay.
Very grateful for the marriage hint too, that's going to be a great help, with female side.
Yes silly of me not to say exactly, I would love to find any trace at all of the elusive Robert.
But would be most grateful of any help at all.
