where to begin.............

the man I am looking for is called Thomas Murphy Murray.  ill start from where i know.  he met and married margaret Mcart Pearson in glasgow in 1922 they had *a son* and in 1927 they had *a daughter*.  they didnt get married until 1931, but they did live together.  he died in 1940 by drowning in the river clyde. ive even checked for a fatel accident enquiry but there is nothing for him.  on his marriage and death record his parents are listed as thomas Murray and Patricia Murphy both dead in 1931 according to marriage entry.  His wife is on the 1911 censes, 28 and living with her mother.  There is no birth record in scotland, england for him,  he was born abt 1888.  The only thomas on the 1911 senses that could fit is from ireland.  help please, what do you think?

The Irish civil registration index is online (www.familysearch.org) but without a location of birth it would be difficult to fin a Thomas Murray.
The only thomas on the 1911 senses that could fit is from ireland. Is it the Scottish census you found a possible Thomas Murray on? If so, does it just give place of birth as 'Ireland'?
Have you searched for jis parents in Scotland? might be easier to find a Patricia than Thomas. It's even possible that the parents weren't married so keep all options in mind.
