Hi Terry

What is the source of the 1915 address - and do you have an age for him at that date?

Did he marry? If so his marriage certificate should give a name and occupation for his father.

OK: I see from his military records that Albert W Freeman of 7 Court 1 House Dolday Worcester was 31 yrs and 6 months old, occupation drover & dealer, when he enlisted with the Worcesters on 10 Dec 1915.

He had married Florence May Robertson in Worcester on 1 October 1915.  They had a son in Gloucester on 20 June 1917.

Albert William FREEMAN of 77 Stanley Road Gloucester died 26 March 1946 at The Royal Infirmary Gloucester. Administration Gloucester 16 July 1946 to Florence May Freeman widow.

Effects £448 3s 8d.

Oddly the death registration gives his age as 56 (so born about 1889-1890) - much younger than the c1884 birthdate which emerges from his military records.

In 1901 they are in Quay St and William is now a General Dealer, with an extra son Walter age 8.William probably died that year in Sep qtr 1901.He probably had to support his mother until her death in Dec qtr 1911.
The parents  married in 1877 ,12.2.1877 St Paul's Worcester,William 20 son of James  and Eliza Cook 19 d of John Wright. Both where supposedly single, which is odd.

Having more trouble with Eliza Cook/Wright born 1858 St Andrews Worcester, can't spot her. This may be her at St Andrews bap 17.10.1858 to John and Selina Wright.John was a hawker born 1819 Worcester and Selina was from Stroud born 1822.
