User profile cannot be loaded

HELP  Please.

When I try and login to my account,  get message:

The  User Profile Service

service failed the login

User profile cannot be loaded

I then click   OK   and can't   do anything   after this,  on my account.   (Doing this through another user account)

Any help  son's had a look  but no joy.

Will this mean I have to go to a repair shop , OR is it something   VERY   simple I can do????

Hello Gadget,  Thank you for links,  will leave it for son to look at.   I'm sure he will make sense of it.  If I try would properly loose everything.

Hi, When you say (doing this through another user account) what do you mean. If you enter rootschat via another users account you cannot modify your profile, just open it only.

The easiest way to get to your account from someone elses computer is to enter via the Guest portal. IE just type Rootschat into your search engine. When it opens on top left of screen it should say welcome guest. If it doesn't then you may have opened via the normal recognition of the owner of that computer. If it has welcome guest then login using your user name and code.
This will allow you to check your own portal account and make any changes.

Sorry Neil if I didn't make it clear,  It is my laptop login, having trouble with  Not Rootschat.

So your computer is password protected, entering your (correct) password will not allow you to use your computer?
