Trying to find more info on Joan Nancy Holloway

Hi,
I'm trying to find more information about my maternal grandmother and her family.
I know very little - she was born Joan Nancy Holloway, 13th August 1923. She married David Andrew Carroll (born 28th April 1923, possibly Coventry - died 23rd May 2007 in North Wales - Anglesey/Bangor).
Married ca 1942.
Lived in Coventry (Tennyson Road)
Had 5 surviving children:

Son Michael Carroll born 11th February ~1944, died ~august ~2009

She died in Coventry in the early 1990s.

I've tried searching in various places but have not come up with anything!

You would need to get her birth cert to be sure of her parents - but this mariage is looking VERY likely!

Thank you so much for this, I can't believe you've found this information out so quickly!!

If you could find anything on the 1901 census - I'd be really grateful - I have absolutely no information about this side of the family - my mum didn't even know her grandparents' names:-( I believe either the father or mother of Joan died in 1927 from TB - either 1927 or 1933.

Interestingly I was also told there was some spanish jewish in the family somewhere but not sure how or where!

Having a look around at Archie Thomas Holloway that was married to Winifried Agnes Adams, they seem to have had too few children.

Some more information come to light is that my grandmother was one of around 8 children.
Her brother/sister married her husband's brother/sister. So her brother/sister married a carroll too.

However, think I've found Joan's birth on Free BMD with Adams listed as Mother's maiden name!

Maybe I found the wrong tree earlier!

Yes, that is what found in my earlier reply.

Best to get some certs to back it up, and then if this is the right line you are sure youare following tbe right people.
Personally I would take no notice of any online tree you have found unless the person can produce certs to back it up. Lots (not all) online trees are a load of rubbish!
