Many thanks for this "chempat".
I heard from Anne today - I'm absolutely delighted!
Perhaps Brad will pick up my post - I remain hopeful.
Again, thank you so much.

Hi Carol,
It’s been several years since I researched the Clark/Seattle family connection.  I will be happy to share what I have with you.  My husband’s grandfather, Arthur Robert Clark, was the direct descendent of David Clark and Isabella Kerr.  He emigrated to Kingston, Ontario, Canada in the early 1900’s.   Married a sea captain’s daughter, Agnes Buck: they had 3 sons and 1 daughter.
Two sons became doctors, the other worked in a hardware store.  The daughter became a nurse.
Arthur Robert was a prison guard at the famous Kingston penitentiary.

Forgot my password but managed to locate it!

More when we return home.   Anne

Hi again Anne
Thank you so much for taking the time and trouble to pass this information on to me while you're on holiday. It really is appreciated.
I'm only just starting out on my journey to explore the Clark/Searle family. The reason for the lateness on my part is that my late Mother absolutely hated the idea of me digging around in her family's past. It's a generation thing I guess or else she feared that I might discover skeletons lurking in the closet!! However, I did manage my Dad's side very well - skeletons and all!
I can probably fill in some gaps from when the Clark's lived in Aldershot. Particularly when it comes to my Grandmother, Emily Clark, who married Ernest Searle.
I saw in an earlier post that you live in North Carolina. I have fond memories of visiting your home state and in particular the home of Thomas Wolfe (The Old Kentucky Home) and the Biltmore Estate. What a glorious place to live!
So looking forward to corresponding with you, Anne.
Best regards, Carol
