Trying to find out who I need to contact regarding either of the above mental asylums. Time period  I'm looking at would be mid 1940's.
I am told that inmates could be photographed and details such as description of height, hair colour etc.
All a long shot as I dont know for sure if the person I am searching was ever their!!!!!!

For a start, you would need to ask a moderator move this topic, as neither are in County Antrim. Also, it may be worth checking some of the suggestions/links on this thread for Londonderry Asylum:

PRONI, Belfast may have the records you are looking for but if they do, they'll be closed for 100 years. It can still be possible to access them if you are a close relative. (Some information may be blanked out). You would need to contact them with an FOI request.
