Just a bit more information on Bertha (Meikle). The earliest year she is listed with William in the Vancouver City Directories is 1949. William is on his own in 1946. So their marriage will have been within that time frame.

Hello my name is Nicole, I am the great grand-daughter of Leo William Dobinson. He did in fact have two children with Hilda who are still alive. After the divorce with Hilda he re-married Margret(Peggy) Harper and had 3 more sons  Leo Dobinson died in 1949 in a tug boat accident in the waters near Victoria (oak bay), the name of the tug boat was the George McGregor.
