i am looking for the birth or baptism of william marston abt 1795. he died 30. 10. 1831 in birstall aged 40. married mary kilby 26 .6 .1823 birstall. i thought he was the son of edward and dorothy of queniborough but recently been told this is wrong . could anyone kindly help me please?

If he died in 1831 aged 40 - his birthyear would be around 1790/91 - not 1795

Do you have any documentary proof that he was actually born in Leicester?  Although he married there - he may have been born in another county

You seem to be looking for two different William Marstons, one born c1759, and one born c1895 - is this right?

A reply on your other post http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,651135.0.html suggests it was the older William who died in 1831.

FamilySearch has a marriage for William Marston to Mary Kilby in 1783 which would match the older one, but the only marriage I can see for a William Marston in 1823 is to Ann Sibson in Thurmaston - was "Mary Kilby" an error on your post, or were there two couples with the same names?

thankyou both for your replies,much appreciated. my apologies for the wrong year it is abt 1790 . william and mary nee kilby were the parents of william at thurmaston. william at thurmaston did marry ann sibson and died at thurmaston in 1839. he was born in birstall in1798 . it is his father who died in birstall eight years earlier whose birth im looking for.carole i have his death record thats all. thankyou again carole and rambler.

i have finally found the certificates i wanted, william marston died birstall in 1831 he was 72. any help with his birth please?
