George and Margaret Tildesley HELP
« on: Thursday 04 July 13 17:19 BST (UK) »
Hi Guys,

Can anyone help me find any marriage details on a George Tildesley (b: 1842 Nottinghamshire) and a Margaret S (1842  or 1852) I don't know her maiden name. Which says she was born in Leith Scotland.

I have only found the 1881, 1891 , 1901 census. She had 5 children Margaret, William H, Frederic, Arthur S, George.

I traced a war record for arthur in 1914, which states his next of kin his mum and her address living in Kensington London, but Cannot find the 1911 census.

Any help with finding out the parents of George and Margaret and where they both we pre 1881 (they were married in the 1881 census).

Thanks

Hi

Where do you have them in 1881?  I can see a George that fits on that census but he has a wife Sarah bn Addlestone  ::)

Ohh Maybe I just assumed that this was them in Surrey because George their son was born in Barnes Surrey.

I was thinking that Margaret middle name began with S so maybe thought she might have used that name, but I'm probably wrong in thinking this,, i think I have the wrong 1881 census??!!  ??? :-[

I think that this is George junior from freebmd
Birth June qtr 1883
TILDESLEY  George James S
Richmond, S.    2a   370b

His birth cert would give his mothers name

His birth cert (or one of the other children) would give Margarets maiden name.

At least, it will if he is a child of Margaret (not Sarah)
