« on: Sunday 07 July 13 21:43 BST (UK) »
Hi

Could anyone please be good enough to confirm the Leicester marriage details of the following, inparticular the father's details:

James Burton and Betsy Eaton - Sep 1877 Leicester
Charles Burton and Emma Jones - Dec 1876 Leicester

I think this may be one for Mike although I am grateful for any help.

Regards

TB

Thanks Mike

Do you happen to know the fathers details of the two 'Burtons' so that I can be sure that I have the right people?

Thanks

TB

Thanks Mike

Mmmm - I think I must have got these wrong.  Whilst the father I am looking for is a William, the ages on these and the associated trade don't tie.

I have the family in 1871, William and Ann Burton, living in St Margarets Leicester (Burley Lane?) with 6 of their children (Edward, William, Charles, James, Arthur and Thomas).  I am trying to establish what happened to James (born 1854 in Hinckley) and Charles (Jaycock) Burton (born 1857 in Hinckley).  The father William, who was also born in Hinckley in 1821 is a framework knitter, appears to have died in 1874 (aged 52) and is buried in Welford Road.  I would also like to find out what happened to wife, Ann, thereafter.

I can't spot James and Charles on later census' with any certainty and was hoping that the above marriages were right.

If you have any further ideas I would be grateful to hear them.

Regards
