(Bradford) Bowling cemetery plan
« on: Tuesday 09 July 13 09:47 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I have discovered that I have a family grave at Bowling cemetery, it is in section r, grave number 204.

The cemetery is huge (is not particularly well signposted) and basically I want to try and find the grave but do not know where to start.

The council have been of no help and I am at a bit of of a loss as to what to do next.  Does anyone have a basic plan of the cemetery at all or can offer any suggestions?

Thanks

Hi Dianer

Head over to the excellent Yorkshire Indexers!...

Also previous thread has a few hints on locating a grave at Bowling...

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your help on this.  I have just looked at the Yorkshire indexers and registered.  Found an image of the plan in gallery but was denied permission to access further.  Completerly at a loss now-thought I was getting somewhere.  I only want to know roughly whereabouts in the cemetery to start looking for the grave.

Hi
I was searching google for a grave plan of Bowling Cemetery and included plot 204 which brought me to this site and the original post for this thread. My cousin as the grave deed certificate dated 25th November 1927. It would appear we had relatives in common. I believe my great grandfather on my grandmothers side is buried there. I intend to get a copy of the grave plan myself. Thought I'd mention it in passing.

Hi
Sorry for the delay in responding, it was a busy weekend following mums funeral on Friday. I'm not allowed to personal message yet, I think.

My Great grandma was Mary Ann Baskerville (formerly Whitaker) daughter of Hannah and Barker Whitaker. Mary Ann went on to marry Willie Naylor.

I've not yet obtained a copy of the plot map. What were your relatives called please?
Thanks
