Trying to confirm that the wife of George Shepherd of 30 Urquart Road Aberdeen in 1901 census is in fact Wilhelmina Wishart b 1870 in the Leuchars/ Guardbridge/St Andrews area, daughter of William and Isabella. Wilhelmina worked as a domestic servant at Ballone Farm c1891 census.

Can anyone help put these two together? I expect the marriage date to be about 1894/5.

You can lookup the marriage on Scotlands People www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk

The free index will tell you whether there is a match using both surnames

If you then want to download the marriage cert - you will have to buy credits as SP is not an annual sub site - it's pay per view

Thank you Carole. Sadly Wilhelmina does not appear on the SP free index at all which leaves me wondering where next?

There is a George Shepherd marriage in 1894 in Aberdeen matching to a Wilhelmina but not to a surname of Wishart

Wilhelmina is often Williamina on some records and there are 2 matches in Aberdeeen between 1891-1901 for Williamina Wishart

Tackled it from another angle.There's a Whelmina Shepherd who died in 1948, in Aberdeen.I "spent" a credit to see her other name was Gourlay.Hope this helps,
