Dalgleish / Anderson Edrom

Hi all, i was wondering if anyone would be able to furnish a few answers to this query please.

Whilst looking at the birth details of one of my Ancestors i also saw on the same OPR the following names.

Walter dalgleish and Barbara Anderson had a child Robert in 1802 at Blackaddertown.

Now this is an Anderson and she is in Blackaddertown where a few of my Anderson family came from, however i can't find a link around Edrom.

However i did find what may be her family but it says they came from Aberdeenshire, which seems a bit of a way??

The listing i could find that may not be correct was that the parents of Barbara Anderson were
George Anderson and Elspet Fowlie.

Barbara though seems to be the only child of theirs born on edrom!!

I can't find this Edrom birth for Barbara, but is this the Aberdeen family you mention? All dates are for baptisms in Strichen, spelling variations for Elspet shown.

From the children's baptism records Walter Dalgliesh & Barbara Anderson were in Oldhamstocks before Edrom:

Hi Br1gau, thanks for the post.

That 2nd post looks like the family, so it looks like what i read was wrong about her being born in Edrom.

The main thing that interests me is that she has a brother James listed as being born in 1773 and i have a James Anderson listed in my family beibng born n 1773 also, however from notes i have him listed as being born in Edrom (may be doubtful) and can't find info on his birth or parents etc..

So i was wondering if the resason for that was that these 2 James may be one and the same person??? hmmm something to think about anyway!!

Oh and the other information i have for Barbara was that she died in the USA so her and her husband must have moved there sometime afterwards.
