Thanks Claire

Very interesting reading and would have been about the time George and his family lived and worked in Grays Inn Lane  - but also very depressing

Many thanks

Steve

Good morning,
i know this is not exactly what you are looking for but there is another person who has posted on rootschat about William Thomas Woodbridge.
Under England general -Illjaorterpa is asking about William Thomas Woodbridge tea urn maker and a connection to his son  and possible Huguenot connection.
There is a family tree on Ancestry which has Mary Ann Teresa Woodbridge baptised 16.6.1816 at the French church on Threadneedle St d of William Thomas and Susanne nee Lorriaux. All her siblings where also baptised there.Guilliame Lorriaux 31.5.1819,Jean Jaques 22.9.1822 and Jaques Pierre 12.11.1826.
George Harrison is baptised 31.7.1814 St Giles without Cripplegate to George and Charlotte Harrison enameller Jewin St.
Sister Sarah Ann baptised 28.11.1819 Finsbury St Luke from Peartree St.She was the youngest and older children seem to be baptised at St Andrew Holborn ,living in Leather St.George 13.7.1800,William Henry 6.2.1803,Charlotte Elizabeth 17.11.1805.
Hope that's at least some help

This is a bit confusing - is the bridegroom definitely George - and if so who is William?

In which parish did they marry? This may help on whether they were at the Holborn end of Gray's Inn Lane or the St Pancras end.

Have you looked for baptisms of any children of the couple to see what address was given?

I've now found the marriage record for William Harrison and Mary Ann Teresa Woodbridge: 31 Dec 1837 at St Andrew Holborn (so it's likely they lived towards the southern, Holborn, end of Gray's Inn Lane). They will almost certainly have been on the east side, as the west side is almost entirely taken up by the wall of Gray's Inn.

Thanks for your help

I know about the Lorriaux/ Woodbridge connection  - However, there is always something new, so many thanks for this baptism for William 1840 ( he didn't live as his not on the Census) However, it once again confirms the Lorriaux Link

Ghosh !! I wish I could find out where (between marriage in Grays Inn Lane the Harrison Family lived

Once again thank you so very much for all your help

Best Wishes

Steve
