Chrystell de Seton
« on: Thursday 01 August 13 11:56 BST (UK) »
Hello All,
Does anyone have any referenced evidence indicating  a marriage between Sir Chrystell de Seton and Maud de Percy in the 13th C, please?
Also interested in his parents and son/s.
Cheers,
Bob

Thanks, Tom
I've seen several of these lineages listed, but few have solid refs. I've read sections of Richard Maitland's 1559 work 'The Historie and Cronicle of the Hous and Surname of Seytoun' which may well be where many obtained info re that family.
However, I'm particularly keen to know if anyone has searched the various archives and patent rolls, cartularies, Abbey transcripts etc.
It's always useful to see original evidence as it helps to eliminate 'wishful thinking' and obvious errors!
Cheers,
Bob
