Confused to find may have been researching wrong branch of Davies family. I have two Mary Davies born 1858 - 1881 Census has one married to William Rees living at Fontygary Penmark states birthplace as Porthkerry. The other one married to William Palmer living at Sefton, Penmark, Glamorgan. William Palmer states b. Sully 1854.
Would sks look up 1891/1901 Census to see if any children would give a clue. Sometimes first born named after Grandparents.
Problem being small community moved around properties being mostly Ag.Labs.
