Hi there,

Please could someone do a look up for me?  I have found a death of a Speller in Rochford Essex and his birthdate was Dec qtr 1886 Rochford.  I would love to know who his parents were on a census as this could be a new member of the family!  He died 3 Oct 1901

Hi,

1891 census has Arthur H Speller (age 6) with parents Ernest (33, b. Vange) and Sarah A (38 b. Althorne). Siblings are Edward E, Frederick W, and Charles W.

Living at High Street, South Shoebury, Essex.

On the 1891 posted by Nanny Jan Ernest Speller's occupation is a Platelayer Foreman, which ties in with the above baptism

Thank you all for your speedy results.  At present I don't see any connection to my Spellers that relocated from Thaxted/Bury St Edmunds to Prittlewell except for the fact that these families did move to Prittlewell and also both heads of family worked for the railways.  So they may be related somewhere along the line or just coincidence in that they worked for the railways.  I've noted all your comments.  Thank you once again.
