Thanks for the info ,the 1841 census is for "linnhead" Nemphlar, the 1851 census shows Andrew 4 born Cambusnethan, the 1861(taken in Cambusnethan) shows Andrew & Margaret  born in Overton.
The person researching Nemphlar ( i have a family photo of the house with a relative writing 'the house where i was born George J Muir') sent me the 1841 details & says the cottage became unoccupied between 1861-1871.
I believe its all connected somehow but I can't find anywhere to say all these children are his siblings as I can't find their birth details to say all their parents were George & mary Muir.(& can't find any marriage except 1843).
1841 census shows wife away that day.   Has she died after Peter's birth 1839 & George remarried????
Being an Aussie I have checked resources on the net = Familysearch, also spent a 'small 'fortune on Scotslandpeople.
Now that I have totally confused all of us I'll end now & I am so pleased I don't get charged for each word I write.

You do not have a local Latter Day Saints Church ? You can view a copy of the original OPRs at the LDS centre (abt $ 3-4). As I said, there is nothing really wrong with the census info. And all those kids would be his siblings. Birthplaces change on every census sometimes.   Dont Worry.  :)

Get Maps of the local area, study the original OPRs, "He who seeks shall find .... " .

What is the difference looking on the internet 'Familysearch'
or going to LDS Church? Do they have more records etc?

Thanks to Hudggy for the info but I checked a marriage on Familysearch a George married Mary 1865 so that would be probably be that families details (mine need to be closer to 1840).

Thanks to Falkryn also. A few people have sent me census 1841,1851,1861 they all seem to connect to the same family but I can't find any birth records to match these parents to prove its the right family.

Any more ideas very welcomed!!!!

I've checked the BVRI and the only matches in there are those already supplied for the later dates.
Sorry.
