William Cope and wife Mary

Please can anyone help with finding parents of William Cope  b 1791  Staffordshire (  his son also William was born  at Slade Heath  in 1821  William's wife is  Mary b1791   would like to find her maiden name and parents  Many thanks Tineke

There is a marriage for a William Cope to a Sarah Burton on the 19th June 1820 at Leigh Stafford England on the IGI - could this be your Sarah?

Thanks  but William's wife was Mary not Sarah  Their eldest child was born in 1821 at Slade Heath Staffs   Regards

Are ages taken just from 1841 Census for William/Mary?
Can you post Census Ref please?
Are they living in Brewood, William jnr unmarried, is there also?

Eliza is too young to be Thomas's Mother so not sure how he fits in.

2 possible Marriages 1809 on Familysearch for William both to a Anne
+ a possible Marriage to Mary Deaville 1834

Thank you Trish, yes it seems more likely that Ann is the mother   as you asked  I did get my information from 1841 census .. Is it possible Ann died and Mary is Williams second wife ?  Regards Thomas  I  found in family search Thomas Cope christened 25 /9 /1836  at ST Mary's  Breewood  mother Elizabeth   no fathers name is it possible he is an illegitimate member of the family    All the Cope christenings you gave me check out with Family search , many thanks for that  I will see if I can find a marriage for William Cope and an Ann   Kind Regards Tineke

I've only just come across this post so sorry for not replying sooner. I think I have the answers you need. William Cope was born in 1789 in Shareshill, he was married to Ann Hood and had 9 children some of which are with him and Mary (second wife??) on the 1841. I don't seem to have a burial for William's wife Ann so am wondering if she's "Mary" on the 1841? William doesn't seem to have had any children after Sarah in 1830.

William born 1789 is my 3x G Uncle and I have further information on his children plus his mother and father. I'm a descendent of his brother Thomas.
