Shaw Family Milton of Culduthel Blacksmith
« on: Monday 12 August 13 12:30 BST (UK) »
I'm looking for information about the Shaw family that lived at Milton of Culduthel Blacksmith's Shop & House on 1881 Census.
Ewen Shaw 39 abt.1842 Invss Blacksmith
Catherine 33 abt. 1848 Dores (wife)
Anne 11 abt. 1870 Invss (Daur)
John 4 abt. 1877 Invss (Son)
David J 6 abt. 1875 Invss (Son)
Catherine S 2 abt. 1879 Invss (Daur)
Mary F 8 months abt. 1880 Invss (Daur)
James Chisholm 23 abt. 1858 Urray Blacksmith (Servant)
Catherine Brown 75 abt. 1806 Dores Spinner (visitor)

1891 Census has them living at MacKays House Stephens Brae, Invss
David J abt. 1875 is not shown, I think Mary F abt. 1880 is now shown as Marjory F abt. 1882 (or Mary is not shown and Marjory F is new)and there are 3 new children
Bella F 7 abt. 1884 Invss
Margaret 5 abt. 1886 Invss
Davidina 1 abt. 1890 Invss
Ewen died in 1895 aged 55, I found his record of death.
1901 Census has them living at 9 Abbolsford Ter Greig St, Invss
Mary F abt. 1880/Marjory F abt. 1882 is now shown as Madge T abt. 1880, Bella T abt. 1884 is now shown as abt. 1882, Margaret abt. 1886 is shown as Maggie abt. 1884 and there is 1 new child Evan J E  7 abt. 1894 Invss (I think that this is really Ewan or Ewen not Evan)

I'm trying to match them up to my family tree (based on stories but not a lot of records), but I can't seem to find out much about them after the 1901 census. If this is your family or you think you can help me find out more about them please let me know. x
