Here's the marriage that you are looking for. It took place at the St Helier Town Church on the 1st of August, I omitted to write down the year but as it was on page 45 of a register covering 1847 to 1851 probably 1848 , I can check again next week.
Zachariah Patch, aged 30, bachelor, occupation Labourer, living in St Helier, born in Allsnby(?) - probably not but impossible to read, Devon. Father Thomas Patch, Labourer
to
Eliza Churchill, aged 23, spinster, living in St Helier, born Chaffcombe, Somerset. Father Isaac Patch, Labourer
Witnesses Frederick Wright and Emily Dyer.
While looking through the indexes for the above marriage I found this one which would appear to be Zachariah's brother, also at St Helier Town Church. It was on 5th March 1845. Both Zachariah and Edward seem to be in Jersey in 1841.
Edward Patch, aged 33, Labourer, living in St Helier, born in Elsbere Devon. Father Thomas Patch, Labourer
to
Caroline Churchill, aged 22, spinster, living in St Helier, born in Chaffcombe Somerset. Father Joseph Churchill, Labourer.
Witnesses Thomas Sinatt (?) and Emily Dyer.
Regarding the Allsnby/Elsbere question a bit of googling throws up Aylesbeare as a possible candidate, it's close to Exeter in East Devon.
