Looking for any information on Christina Goldie. Supposed to be born in Dumbarton around 1838 -44 (depends on census return) She had a daughter (illegitimate)Mary born 168 High Street, Dumbarton 5 Dec 1860, an aunt Mary Goldie was present at birth. Christina described as a Bleachfield Labourer. She would later marry a Claude Quayle at Liverpool in 1866 moving to Birkenhead shortly after the marriage. Still alive in 1911 Census for Birkenhead. Any information on her earlier years would be most welcome.

1841 Census she appears to be Christian GOUDIE age 4 with Mother Janet age 35 and Siblings

1851 they are under GOWDIE;
John, 40, Boatman, born Ayr
Janet, 38
Mary, 17
James, 13
CHRISTINA, 12
John, 10

1861 Census she is Chirstina GOULDIE living at 168 High St with Brother John age 20 and Mary Jordan age 5mths (Neice to John)

The marriage on 21st May 1866 was at Liverpool, St Peter
 Christina GOLDIE and  Claud QUAYLE
Father Johan Goldie.

there is also a marriage for
Christina Goldie and John Watson on 15th September 1862 Liverpool St Nicholas ???

Thanks. I have looked at the Christina Goldie - John Watson marriage etc. Throws in even more to look at. It says her father was George, a shoemaker, but cannot as yet find him. I now believe the other Christina is the one I have been looking for, but still going to chase this one up. Thanks again.
