Worth a try

Hi everyone, ive had so much help today and gained so much knowledge I thought i'd try another throw of the dice hunting for an ancestor.

My great great grandfather had a sister called Lucy Jane Jones b.1872 in Wavertree, Liverpool. By the 1881 census her father had died and she was living in Oldham at 2 Mawbray St with her mum, she remained at the same address for the 1891 census but then disappeared...along with her mother Catherine Parr Jones b.1832 in St Helen's.

Ive tried on Rootschat before to locate her mother Catherine after this date but with no luck - i assume one or both of them married but cant find anything concrete.

Can anyone help?

She's not with the family in 1881  ???

There is a Lucy aged 2 yrs at 5 Mowbray Street with parents Uriah and Emma.

Catherine Jones in 1906 aged 70 Oldham Central
