Genes Reunited member required - COMPLETED
« on: Sunday 25 August 13 16:01 BST (UK) »
Hi

I haven't been a GR member for a long time but someone is pestering me to see my tree.

I wonder if someone who is a GR member could PM me and pass on a message to the person concerned.

Thanks

Thanks for your response Rosie.

I suppose 'pestering' might be a bit of a harsh description.

It's a complicated situation in that I am curious to see what they want and what I might get in return.

Someone has kindly offered to forward an email to the person concerned.

Hi,

I am looking at my family tree and was researching Friend as a forename.  I came across your post about Friend Henry West.
I am a descendent of Friends brother.
I have minimal knowledge about my family but as I have discovered...
Henry West married Sarah  producing a James West
James Married Mary Ann Green(?) And had 2 children... James Thomas Henry and Lucy Lydia... I dont know details but Mary Ann had another spouse and children.

James Thomas Henry married Louisa Burchell... This union produced Patricia Dorothy, Nora Catherine and Ronald Richard James. However James remarried Uenus (pronounced Venus) Potter who also had children.

Patricia Dorothy West married Peter Watts and gave birth to Julie Patricia and twins Stephen and Karen before divorcing Peter and Marrying Keith Norman Lord who had one biological child Elaine Maria. Keith adopted Julie, Stephen and Karen.

Julie married Keven Elkins and had 2 children Dawn Marie and Kelly.

I am Dawn!

My nan and my mother have passed away but my nan could not remember much about her childhood. It seemed an unhappy one.

Anyway. I dont know if you still read these but I found Friends grave and I am visiting this week. I'd love to know how we're related. If you're interest.

Thank you for your time.

Hi Dawn

It's been a long time since I did any work on my family tree.  I seem to know about Ronald Richard James West (b 1920) and that he married Joyce Eva Jeffrey and they had a child Pauline who married Derek Roddis and they had a daughter Karen.  I'm not sure how I know that? In addition to  Nora (1922) and Patricia(1939) wasn't there another sibling Barbara (b 1936)?

My line of descent is via the Henry lineage.  Henry (1776-1885) >> Henry (1807-1879) >> (Henry) Ellis Slater West (1841-1924) >> Walter Slater West (1883-1957) >> Anthony Slater West (1921-1961)

I've been to St Peters, Parham a few times.  Friend Harrys grave is marked by a book memorial as far as I can remember,  Most of the memorial headstones are for the Charles line of descent.  There are also grave markers over at St Michaels, Amberley but they are older and more faded.
