I am looking for the Birth or marriage of a Peter REVE Sen who died in Troston 1792 a "Pauper".
People have copied my data on Ancestry and place his birth at Rougham 1723. But no providence provided. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Terry.

There are two marriages on Boyds index in 1749

Peter Reve and Elizabeth Crick = Rougham
Peter Reve and Elizabeth Major = Troston

There is also this one on the Suffolk Marriage Index

Peter Reeves and Diana Buckel
28th July, 1778 = Troston

and these earlier ones.

Peter Reeve and Elizabeth Wheatacre = 1719 Beyton
Peter Reeve and Elizabeth Ellis  = 1678 Mildenhall

Hi Sue,

Thank you, looks like Elizabeth Crick could be the marriage I am needing. I will have to search Troston Burials for an Elizabeth Reve wife of Peter to prove the link.

Your help is appreciated.

Looks like Peter left Rougham to live with his son Peter in Troston on the Parish.
I am visiting Bury St Edmunds early October so this information will give me a start on the records there. Do you know if there is still a church at Rougham? I have been on Google Earth and could not see one.

Thank you for the most helpful quick responses. Terry

Sue, Thank you for the photo link to Rougham Church. I have checked all my data now and find that Peter Reve of Rougham is most unlikely to be the Peter Reve of Troston as he married Elizabeth Major in 1749. The Rougham Peter married Elizabeth Crick in that same year! So I am back to searching for his birth circa 1725.

Thank you for your help. negatives are positives in a way.
