RE: Wingerworth.
« on: Wednesday 04 September 13 22:26 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I'm trying to find a particular Elizabeth Bearder after the 1841 census.

In the 1841 census she was living alone (Ind.) in Wingerworth Derbyshire, age 55, county of birth Derbyshire.

Can anyone help find her in either 1851 census, or marriage/burial between 1841-1851?

Thanks

Hi,
The Bunhill Fields Burial Grounds, City of London parish records show the burial of an Elizabeth BURDER on 15th January 1844, aged 56. Possible surname variant?

Bearing in mind that ages of adults were rounded down in the 1841 census, this could be a possibility:

Elizabeth Beardow buried at Wingerworth on 9 January 1842 aged 60

Thanks,

Found the death entry in the registration index; Elizabeth Beardow, Mar 1842, Chesterfield, 19 379.

Not sure this is her, but if I order a copy at least it will either confirm or rule her out.
