Hi I'm hoping somebody here is also researching the Audleys!

Robert William Audley b. circa 1881/1883 in Great Yarmouth is my 2 x great grandfather. Sometime between the 1901 and 1911 he married a lady called Louisa Harriet b. 1879. They are recorded as having three children in 1911 Florence Audley (b.october 1910), Edward Audley (b. around 1908) and a Gus MCalden/ McAldern (b. around 1898).

I have been told that Robert Audley married three times and had several children but these are the only details I can find on any of them. The most comprehensive records are of my great grandma Florence.

I am especially interested in Gus who has also been registered as Gussie on one census. Can anyone shed some light for me or point me in the right direction? Maybe someone is looking for the Audleys too?

Gussie McAlden was the son from his wife's first marriage.

This couple are in the 1901 with son Philip A McAlden aged 3

Births: March 1898: McALDEN    Philip Augustus        Smallburgh    4b   55

Deaths: Samuel McAlden died 1905 aged 35  St Faiths (Norfolk) 4b 59.

If you use Freebmd and put in the names of his sons, they come up with mother maiden name Smith. I cant give details as they may still be alive. It is possible that Dorothy Voss was married previously and that her maiden name was Smith.
