JOHN BELL alias LITTLE was found guilty of obtaining goods by false pretences from John Watson of BishopAuckland on the 26th December, by falsely representing himself to be in the employment of Mr Francis Trewhitt the contractor for the Shildon Tunnel, and putting off three tickets for goods purporting to be signed by Mr Trewhitt. To be kept in hard labor for 6 months.
