Thanks Janette. Yes looks very much like him but alas he is not the person I am looking for. William and Martha Mary Fletcher had twins in Aug or Sept 1922. Grandma told Mum that one of them had been killed in a kitchen accident. Looks like we may be waiting till 2022 to get a name and looks like the death was not recorded. The sister had no recollection of her twin so it happened sometime in the 1920's and have been able via PP to discount Emma Mary in 21/7/1925. My internet speed is at a crawl this evening and I just gave up on PapersPast. Thanks for the link

Hi Kiwihugh,
Listings on Papers Past don't include many newspapers to the 1920's, so the event may not appear.
But if you can tell me where the death took place I might be able to find him in the Coroner's Indexes at Archives NZ.

Will have to ring my one surviving Uncle from that side tomorrow. I think they were in Wanganui area in the later 1920's but not sure about the earlier part. They were farmers till they moved to the Hutt and worked for Railways

Ringing him is on my "to do" list for tomorow. Was wondering why he was not answering his phone then finally went "Duh! Hugh its Sunday"
Glad to hear he is helpful.
