Thomas Osborn/osborne/osbourne

I am completely stuck on one side of my Osborn family I know he was born about 1895 according to his marriage cert. he married a Gladys Parson in 1930 at Cambridge registry office. He was a widower and his father was Samuel Osborn. He was living at Fulbourn Cambridgeshire. There is a Samuel living here in 1911 but no Thomas. I have found a Samuel Thomas Osbourne's birth would he be able to call himself Thomas on his marriage cert. if his name is really Samuel? I had got to this family to the 1700
but then found that the Thomas I had was wrong and he had died very young. My fault for not getting cert.

What were Thomas & his fathers occupations on the marriage

Hello Rosie Thomas,s occ. was a general lab  and his father,s was a ag. Engine driver this was in 1930 when Thomas was married the second time.
