William Robert Bird

Can someone please help locate the details for William Robert Bird on the 1901 and 1891 censuses?  He was born circa.1878, Wymondham, Norfolk.  On the latest census there was a Sydney Bird, boarder in the household, born 1891, also Wymondham

The only William Robert I can find on the 1881 is as follows;

In 1861 father George has a sister called Louisa.
Louisa Bird married Robert Patrick 1874, Forehoe (4b 277).

Can not seem to find him in 1901, there is a Robert Bird born 1878 Wymondham as gunner  at RA Hut barracks Ewshott , Hampshire

Interesting, that could be him, the person I'm researching died 1920, aged 42, he was a Bombardier in the Royal Field Artillery; unfortunately I have not located his service records so anything you turn up on him will be appreciated.

I can not find a a birth for a William Robert Bird or a marriage for George & Brittania.

There was a Robert Wiiliam Bird born 1878, Foresoe & a few William Birds  1878 & 1879 in different areas in Norfolk.

Hello Roy,

Findmypast has William Robert's Attestation Papers.
He does say he was born Wymondham, and his father he gives as George Bird, of Suton Street, Wymondham.
They're dated March 1897 and he gives his age as 19 years 1 month

His religion is shown as "Protestant - other", rather than C of E.

Another interesting entry is that in 1901, he was "awaiting trial" and "imprisoned by civil powers", but doesn't give any more detail.

It looks like he is the son of George and Britannia ... though looking at the 1901 and 1911 censuses, mother can't make her mind up where she was born!
1901 she says Northampton, and 1911, London.

Been searching ages for a marriage for George and Britannia and found nothing.

With so many different places of birth on the censuses, it's difficult to know where Britannia was born, but I wondered about this one on Family Search.

Shows baptised in Northampton in 1855, parents are Jeremiah and Eliza Toogood - two of the names of her own children.
