Hi again C G, as the surname of your Grandfather was given as Davies, how and when did W M Lloyd become attached to this birth?

Also if you are searching for W M Lloyd on 1911 Ancestry, remember to use the census for Wales not England, and try things like W Morgan Lloyd as an example?

And lastly, would Mrs Thomas be able to confirm to you how old W M Lloyd appeared to be when she knew of him in the 2nd World War?

PS they lived at 36, Regent Street West!

Hi
I contacted Mrs Thomas of Bethesda Chapel and asked if she had a record of a Lloyd at the chapel around 1897 - 1899. She got back to me on monday with a W M Lloyd who was at the chapel during the war. I was searching my 2nd great grandfather/mother grave 8 yrs ago in Briton ferry and I was confused as there was no mention of my great grandfather. My mother confirmed that my grandfathers father was a Lloyd - preacher/minister/pregethwr  ??? of Bethesda chapel.
I am now waiting for Mrs Thomas to get back to me with possibly the age of W M Lloyd during the 2nd world war.
I personally do not think that this is the correct man as his children would be well in to their nighties now. Whilst my grandfather would be 114 this year.
I am starting to give up hope as Lloyd is such a popular name.
Thank you (diolch)
C G

It would be worth exploring the records at the Swansea record office to see if there was another Minister or member at the Chapel in late 19th Century:

Hello
Yes! Emlyn A Davies known as Arthur Emlyn is my grandfather. His mother is Mary Davies - dressmaker. I am trying to search his father with little information.
Thanks
