Madden/Ford Cemetery
« on: Monday 30 September 13 23:26 BST (UK) »
Hi, I have recently been given the following Ford Cemetery, Liverpool burial info for my Great Granda Thomas Bernard Madden who was born in Belfast 1865:

 Name: Thomas Madden
 Birth Year: abt 1866
 Age: 63
 Death Year: abt 1929
 Burial Date: 22 May 1929
 Parish: Ford Cemetery

Address 107 Rice Lane (Walton Hospital) grave 924.

I was hoping that a forum member would be able to check newspaper family death notices for this date.
I also would like to find out if Thomas is buried with his father & mother.

Thomas also had a daughter who passed away as a baby:

Charlotte born 03.06.1894. Charlotte died young, before 1901

I also have 2 children of William & Mary Ann Madden (siblings of Thomas):

Cornelius born abt 1878 – died 15.03.1885 in West Derby, Lancashire.

Peter       born 18.07.1892 – died 14.10.1895.

Any assistance greatly appreciated,

LGC

Hi

It would appear that Thomas was buried in a public grave.  The list of burials from 22.5.1929 -28.5.1929 shows 7 other people were buried in the same grave so Thomas is not buried with his parents.

Hi CaroleW, thanks for the quick reply.

I was hoping fill some of the gaps in my tree with the burial info but no such luck.

Will just keep digging, thanks again.

Hi,
Carole is quite correct.
There is no record for Charlotte, Cornelius or Peter.
If you can supply approximate dates for William & Mary Ann or for Thomas's parents (need names also)  I can look them up for you.
Smith, Corrigan, Hart. Walker, Mellett, Bridge, Brew , Nelson (Liverpool)
Smith, Parfrey, Corrigan, Conway, White (Cork. Ire)

Hi ozrarnga, thanks for the reply & offer.

Thomas Bernard Maddens parents were William & Mary Ann Madden.

They were born approx 1845 so by going with their approx ages I have been guessing at when they may have died.

Both William & Mary Ann were alive in 1911 that is where the trail runs cold.

I have been posting in various sites hoping a distant relative is looking also.

William was 70 in 1911 and Mary Ann was 69.  Have you looked on freebmd for possible deaths?  The nearest match for William's age is 1924

No match fo a Mary Ann but there is a Mary in 1916 who is 5yrs older that Mary Ann would have been

Hi

Good find and the location fits with where they were living in 1911.  So that just leaves Mary Ann
