Opening documents
« on: Wednesday 23 October 13 23:22 BST (UK) »

I have always been able to open documents that were saved on the computer, but recently, I have been unable to do so.
When I click 'Open' it says that:  Microsoft Office product is necessary to open this file, is not installed on your computer.

I have enter my Product Key Number but nothing.

Has the system changed?  What do I do now.  Very simple terms please.

Many thanks
Carol

I assume you have not uninstalled MS Office components?

Have a read of this and see if it helps:-

Hi

I haven't uninstalled any programmes as far as I know.
I thank you so much for your reply and pointing me in the direction of the link.
After a few attempts, I'm always afraid of pressing wrong buttons and having nothing on the computer, but I feel SO EXCITED that I have completed the necessary and I can now 'open' these documents.

Thank you so much, one can always rely on RC to see you through.
Best wishes
Carol
