Here are photos of both Charles Edward Manley (b1898), the son who was killed in action, and his father Charles Edward Manley (b1873).  Are there any similarities in the original  army photo?

Thanks to everyone for their contributions, very much appreciated.

Jackie

The file names came out the wrong way round - the father is the first photo and the son the second.

I am trying to upload a full length one of Charles the son.

Hi Jackie

There don't appear to be any other records of the second man that would help us.  The medals he has were awarded to 5-6 million people!  My guess would be that this is the Moss Side CE Manley born 1892 that I mentioned in my earlier PM.  (The 2 numbers simply mean that he moved from the Liverpool Regt to the Labour Corps at some time and was given a different number). Whether he is related to your Lambeth family only you would know!

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.

With deep sadness,
