Here is alink to information about Ollerton Colliery.
http://www.healeyhero.co.uk/rescue/Fatalities/Notts/Notts-F5.html#O

I can see a death registration for
John C M H farrow in 1962 Mansfield. It says born about 1926. He is in a family tree on Ancestry. There is also a will available.

John Farrow was my grandad though I never knew him. The information you have found agrees with the small amount of facts I have found about him. I am fascinated that I have family I have never known. Can anyone tell me what his life was like, where he lived, what happened at Ollerton pit.

Hi, I'm also the grandchild of John Farrow ( John Marshall Charles Henry Farrow ) born September 1926. Died October 1962 but at Mansfield Colliery, not Ollerton. The family lived in Ollerton which might be where the confusion comes from. Please feel free contact me.

Hi  mcintoz and welcome to Rootschat,
The rules of the forum don't allow you to put your email address on for all to see. It's  definitely not wise in any case.

You will be able to exchange personal messages with the person you want to contact once you have made three posts. Use the 'modify' button to amend your message and remove your address. If you don't, a moderator will have to remove it for you.

Best wishes,
Joney
