William Spackman married Ann Powney 20 Sep 1709 Cherhill
« on: Friday 29 November 13 15:44 GMT (UK) »
My 6xgreat grandfather, William Spackman, married Ann Powney at Cherhill on 20 September 1709. He died in October 1758 and left a will, but that will only mentions his wife and children.
The only suitable birth I can find is a William Spackman, son of Roger and Mary of Broad Town, baptised at Clyffe Pypard 1 Mar 1687; but I can't be certain this is the right William Spackman. Has anyone got any information that would confirm, or not, whether this is the right William?

Can't help asking if you may be related to Charles Edward Spackman VC who lived across the road from us in Pinner during WWII?   There is a picture of him on the net standing next to Prince David who was to become King Edward VIII and then Duke of Windsor.
