The 1847 marriage is right. Woodchurch parish church, 11-11-1847. He was John Lindop residing at Dodleston (Kinnerton per the licence) , son of Samuel, a farmer. She was Elizabeth Mainwaring of Oxton, daughter of John,  a farmer.   Witnesses Rd Lindop, Mary Jane Mainwaring.

Yes, I`ve found the wills. Very good that Samuel names his children and mentions Gresford.
I can`t see his wife named in there .
1837 . Samuel Meredith Lindop , he must be linked, at the 1808 marriage there is an E Meredith.

I may have a somewhat indirect link to this Lindop family in my Tree!A Frances Lindop is given as marrying a Job Lea at Ellesmere in 1866.This Frances is given in later Census entries as born in Penley in c 1846.Though you will have to search with a very open mind for her birth!
