Just wondering whether anyone knows whether many of the old graves/tombs are still in existence in the churchyard please? I know the church is still operating but the churchyard has been closed for some time. Several of my ancestors were buried in there from Plaistow, the last being in 1930 and I suspect there may have been a family plot because the father left over £2k when he died in 1881.
I've a relative attending a funeral in the area on Tuesday and was wondering whether it's worth seeing if they'd take a look. I don't know how big the graveyard is now or whether it will be open.
I've not tried phoning the church as not sure how helpful they would be. I've had a look on google but can't find anything much on the graveyard, other than it's a garden now I believe. Does anyone have any experience visiting it?
Thanks
Nicola
