Hi I was wondering if anyone can help me. My father is from Tenerife in the Canary Islands and my mother is English I have managed over the last few years with a lot of help from Rootschat to trace my mother's family quite far back but I wouldnt have a clue where to start to trace my father's side or even if it is possible?? Can someone point me in the right direction please? Thankyou

There are no centralised BMD records in Spain.
If you contact the Town Hall of the town where your father was born & give them as much info as you can, they should be able to help you, but be warned. Your enquiry will need to be in Spanish & the reply will also be in Spanish,
