William R RAY KENTUCKY/MISSOURI USA

Hi Everyone
   I'm doing research on the above  and I'm hoping to find William R. RAY'S parents.

   He was born c 1846 in Kentucky and married Sarah J. BLANKENSHIP in we believe her father, Parrun's home on the 5th of May 1867 by JP Scurlock/Spurlock (not sure) in Missouri.

   We have Sarah, William and the Ray/Rey children on the 1870 and 1880 Census's in Missouri.

   William seems to disappear after 1900 so I'm now trying to find his death or any information that may help with discovering his parents

   Sarah Ray nee Blankenship is in Idaho in 1910.

   If anyone could give me an idea of how to track down William R. RAY'S death/burial and perhaps obit.  Would be most grateful Kind regards Dianna from Oz

informant Beverley Ray (son born 1883)
Address looks like Burgin? Mercer Cty Kentucky
Hope that's the right one.

Don't think that is the right one ciderdrinker this person is buried Hebron Cemetery Kentucky and has links to a son William C Ray who has listed for parents William R Ray born 10/3/1847 & Louisa Ray ....Just a thought ..a few trees has his middle name as Riley ?

     Thanks both for your time and replies, would have to agree with Rosie I think more likely he died between the two census's 1900 and 1910 between Missouri and Idaho (just a thought) as his wife Sarah J is living in Idaho in 1910.  Thanks for your time though.  Also I don't really too much on ancestry trees, use them as a guide only.  Kindest regards Dianna

There is a death certificate for son Ben F. Ray (possibly the one on the 1900 census as Fines?) that lists William's middle name as Riley:  https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/NQ98-2XV

There is a submitted tree that gives parents for William:  https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.2.1/M4HW-45M  Maybe you could investigate those folks to see if there are sources to help verify the information.
