To all, sorry my mistake putting my questions to Meath instead of Westmeath. Further to the McQuade/Rothwell story. I believe that the Benjamin Rothwell mentioned in the police list is Benjamin Snr and basing this on the information that his son William Andrew gave when getting married in London in 1896. Father Benjamin Rothwell deceased, a police sergeant. Elizabeth was granted Letters of Administration 8/8/1877 but I havn't gone further. What happens after these Letters are granted. I traced William to the 1911 census and then his 1939 Probate where its Granted to his sons Frederick John a trolley bus driver and other son Albert Edward a tram conductor but have come to a stop. I did put a Letter to the Editor in a newspaper in London searching for the family but didn't receive any reply. When Elizabeth died in Mullingar she was living on the family farm and Probate was Granted at Mullingar to her son Thomas McQuade, farmer. Any suggestions as to where I should be going with all this. I am hopeful that there would be family in London still from Frederick and Alberts families if only I could find them. I look forward to any help or suggestions. LinnetW
