Marriage at St Margaret's and St Martin's, Leicester

Hello,
I wondered if someone could do two look-ups for me, please, as I live in Canada and cannot get to the RO.  I am particularly keen to know who the witnesses were.

St Martin 1807 Sept 29 Richard Lord and Martha Old
St Margaret 1831 Oct 16  William Church and Mary Lord

Hi Carolyn

On the transcript I have for St Margaret's her name is Mary Lowe.  No other information given I'm afraid.  Hopefully someone may be visiting the RO.

Thanks for the reply.  Hmm..that's interesting.  I wonder if it's a transcription error.  Familysearch says Lord, and that's what I want it to be!  Yes, perhaps I'll be lucky and someone can check this in the register for me.

Perfect.  Thankyou.  Yes, I will definitely see if I can get the marriage license for Richard Lord and Martha.  (Still need those witnesses, though!)

Which CD do you have?  I have Philimore's Marriages for Leicestershire, but it doesn't include the city of Leicester.  I wouldn't mind getting the one you have.
